With the holidays, one might think the real estate market would slow down. However, there’s actually still plenty of activity this year, possibly influenced by the recent upward performance of the stock market.
Going into the holiday season, in our neighborhood in Santa Monica, buyers are still buying. Compared to last year, there’s a little more activity going on in our local area.
As you preview homes, remember that even listings that appear as “active” could still have other offers (including multiples). Sometimes it takes a little while before a listing shows as “pending” (meaning that an offer has been made).
If you are interested in a home, make sure it’s still available. And if you’d rather remain anonymous, ask your favorite realtor to check it out for you.
